test of some HTML

HTML and the video blogger gadget; blogspot.com

If you click on "copy embed HTML" of the second video of this post, you get this:

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px">
  <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/?version=3">
    <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true">
      <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
        <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/?version=3"
        type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
        allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"
        width="640" height="390">

</object>

This code is not good at all!!!

If you want to share your "blogger hosted video", or if you want to publish a "blogger hosted video" from a blogspot, you have to select (in the HTML code of the post) the code between object tags (search "BLOG_video_class"  in the HTML code; see below: i  highlight these two object tags in green). By this method, you can also add you blogger video to the sidebar of you blogspot.

With only the HTML code between object tags, you include your blogger-hosted-video in a site. See the result:

An analysis of the full HTML source gives these 50lines (see some comments on the right side-column).

I highlight the blog_video id (orange; 16 characters: 88b037cb0b028e0f).

You can use this video Id directly to download the video file:

http://www.blogger.com/video-play.mp4?contentId=88b037cb0b028e0f&type=video%2Fmp4Use this URL and watch your video in your browser. Clic right (or ctrl clic on mac) on the video and select "saved your video" and you can saved your mp4 file.

In the full HTML source, this Id appears 7 times:

if you want to publish at several sites and blogs, first publish your video in YouTube or dailyMotion.

And after, you must embed your YouTube Video

To put a video from YouTube in blogger, just copy the code from the "Embed" box on the video's YouTube page. You can find the "Embed" box in the "About This Video" box when you're watching the video. You can also get the code from the "Embed HTML" box on the "Edit Video" page if the video belongs to your YouTube account.

To embed a YouTube video within a blog post, first click "Edit HTML" from within the post editor. Next, paste the video's code into the body of your post. That's it!

-------

If you post YouTube videos to your blog regularly, sharing directly from YouTube is even easier and you'll only have to set it up once:

  1. Click the "Share" button on the YouTube video's page
  2. Scroll down and click "Setup your blog for video posting."
  3. Click "Add a Blog/Site"
  4. Choose "Blogger" as your Blog Service and fill in your Google Account login information.
  5. Choose which blogs you'd like to add to your YouTube account. You can choose more than one.
  6. From now on, when you click "Share", you'll be given the option to post YouTube videos directly to your blogs!

Why did Google Video discontinue uploads? Is Google Video shutting down? (@june 2011)

No, Google Video will continue to focus our mission on search and search technology. This move will allow Google Video to spend more time on technologies that make the information contained in online video more available and accessible, enabling users to search all kinds of videos across the web.

We indirectly used Google Video – just by using blogger and uploading some videos on his blog using Blogger’s built-in uploader. Videos uploaded to blogger were stored somewhere on Google Videos. How to access there from within the Google videos itself and not Blogger?
